Castiron Pricing + Fees

As of February 21, 2024, we are offering the following pricing plan to new Castiron users:

No subscription fees
1% transaction fees for calendar year 2024
3% transaction fees starting on January 1, 2025
Monthly subscription rate of $24/month for new Castiron sellers starting December 16, 2025.
Monthly subscription rate of $10/month for current (legacy) Castiron sellers with an active shop on or before December 15, 2024 starting January 1, 2025.
Standard credit card rates apply and are collected and sent to Stripe, our payment processor.
- The standard payment processing fee (2.9% + $0.30) is calculated on total transaction amount.
The combination of the Castiron fee and Stripe fee is listed as a convenience fee on the customer invoice/receipt, unless the artisan elects to absorb the fees. This can be adjusted within the shop admin screen (Settings > Payments > Settings tab).

Existing customers on Legacy Plans will continue to receive the benefits associated with their plan until the end of their term if they are annual subscribers or the end of 2024 for monthly users.

Existing Castiron users will have an opportunity to opt in to the new plan at the lower rate from December 16-December 31, 2024.

Legacy Plan Support:

The Transition Date for Legacy Plans of current active Castiron artisans to the current pricing will be January 1, 2025.

If you are a Monthly subscriber, you may continue to renew your monthly plan at the current rate through the end of the calendar year after which time you will automatically transition to the current plan that is available on that date.
Any credit to your current plan on Jan 1, 2025 will be prorated and applied to the new subscription rate.
No changes to your billing or plan cost will happen before January 1.

How to Proceed:

If you are currently on a Castiron plan, rest assured that you will continue to receive the agreed-upon services until the end of 2024. You will be prompted to confirm opt in to the new pricing plan for existing artisans (at the lower rate) starting on December 16th, 2024 via your shop admin. You will have until December 31 to confirm this. If you fail to confirm your participation in the new pricing plan, or you close your shop and return to Castiron on or after Dec 16th, you will only have access to the new artisan plan.
If you do not confirm your participation in the new pricing plan, starting January 1st, 2025 you will be locked out of your admin account until you confirm the plan and credit card number to pay for the subscription.
