Castiron Shopper FAQ

When you buy with Castiron, you're supporting a small business by purchasing directly from an individual shop. Each shop is an independent business, run by sellers who create their own inventory and manage their own orders. 


  • What is Castiron?
    • We're an online marketplace that connects people looking for delicious food with independent culinary artisans who create and sell it at www.shopcastiron.com.
    • On the Castiron Marketplace, you can shop with food artisans in your area, as well as national shops who ship their products to different states.

  • Where is Castiron available?
    • Castiron is available to all owners located in the United States and Puerto Rico, and all transactions must be done in US dollars. Unfortunately, Castiron is not yet available outside of these locations or in different currencies. We hope to support more of our global friends in the future!

  • How do I contact a Castiron shop?
    • Tap "Info & Support" in the shop's top menu on the homepage, and then "Contact."
    • Type in your name, email, and your message into the text boxes.
    • Click "Send Message," and the shop will be notified via email.
    • You will receive a reply to the email address you provided.

  • Which payment options are available?
    • Castiron shops accept all major debit and credit cards.
    • Alternative forms of payment may be accepted for some Custom Orders; check with the shop first to see their policies, or click "Contact" to message them for more information.

  • What should I do if I'm having trouble checking out?
    • Double check that all required information is filled out.
    • Then try clearing the cache and cookies of your browser, and try placing the order again.
    • Next step is to try a different browser or device to place the order.
    • If you receive an error message, please make note of the message, or take a screenshot, and email us at help@shopcastiron.com for assistance.

  • Common checkout issues:
    • "Sorry, there are no fulfillment options currently available for this product."
      • Solution: Click "Contact" to message the shop owner and let them know there is no fulfillment option available for the product you're attempting to order.
    • "This shop is not accepting orders"
      • Solution: The Castiron shop could be taking a break or on vacation. Click "Contact" to message them if you need more details about their availability.
    • Credit card is declining at check out.
      • Solution: Try clearing the cache of your browser, or use a different browser or device to make the order, or try using a different credit card.
    • Nothing happens when clicking "Submit Order"
      • Solution: Try clearing the cache of your browser, or use a different browser or device to make the order and try again.
      • Ensure that all required boxes are filled in.

  • How do I request a refund?
    • If you need to return an item, it's best to reach out to the shop using the "Contact" link. Each shop manages their own orders, and makes decisions about cancellations and refunds.

  • When to reach out to Castiron Support?
    • If you've already contacted the shop, and haven't heard back in a reasonable amount of time, you can email us at help@shopcastiron.com for further assistance.
    • If you're seeing a technical error that isn't mentioned above, please make note of the error details or take a screenshot, and email us at help@shopcastiron.com to troubleshoot.
