Welcome Email Automations

Every time we at Castiron have asked artisans where they need the most help for their business “Marketing” is always at the top of this list. The other thing we hear all the time is that people got into business to make and sell their amazing products – Not so much the other stuff that comes with running a business!

May I introduce to you our Welcome Automations: A series of three welcoming emails automatically sent over a week to new customers/subscribers. These will include a coupon (if applicable), encourage them to follow you on social media, and highlight your best selling products. 

You can find it in your Marketing tab > Automations in your shop admin (see screenshot below). In addition to saving you valuable time and building customer relationships, our research has shown personalized and timely emails can significantly boost your sales by encouraging new subscribers to make their first purchase and return for more. 

Here are the details of the automations:

Email #1: ”Welcome to My Shop” Sends immediately when a new subscriber opts in to email

This email welcomes the subscriber and encourages them to shop.

Our data shows a 75% open rate for this email, which is significantly higher than a newsletter email which has a 12% open rate.

1. If you have a new subscriber coupon, this will be sent in this email. If you choose to inactivate the coupon, a welcome email will send without a coupon. The coupon can be managed (activation/coupon amount) in Marketing > Automations > Welcome Series.

Email # 2 "Follow Me on Social Media" Sends 2 days after subscription

This email encourages the subscriber to follow your shop on social media.

1. The subscriber will be encouraged to follow your business on Instagram, Facebook, and/or TikTok.
2. Your social media accounts need to be connected in your admin Settings>Business Details
3. This will not send if you do not have any social links added to your shop.

Email #3 "Check out My Best Selling Products" Sends 4 days after subscription (2 days after email #2)

1. Highlights your shops best selling products of all time.
2. Includes a Shop button that directs to your Castiron shop.
3. Includes a "Subscribe to SMS" if they don’t already.
